A new Sean Monaghan story – “Jerry and Monica’s Falling Out” – will soon appear on 365Tomorrows. The website has daily flash science fiction from staff writers and through submissions. The story is a fun little science fiction flash. It will appear on the front page for one day (hence the 365), then slip into the archives. I’ll repost with the permanent link later. Lots of other good stories to read there too, if you’re looking for a quick sci-fi fix.
Two stories published now
The June issue of Infinite Windows includes my flash story The Rotated and my short story Skinny Joe.
There’s some other great stuff there too, including The Comedy Lounge by David Landrum and The Door by Joseph DeRepentigny. Check out the whole site here
Stories coming soon
Two new Sean Monaghan stories – one flash fiction, one a standard (3000 word) short story will appear in the respective sections of the June issue of the Science Fiction magazine Infinite Windows. I’ll post links when the issue is out – but check out the site now anyway; there’s some good work going on there.
Quiet, then a flurry …
It’s been a busy May, mostly creating in the background with little in the world, and little to report. Some more news is in the works, just need some crosses for the ‘i’s and dots for the … or something like that.
Some Venus Vulture tracks from the Heavy Skies EP were played on the NTNS radio podcast on May 9th. Mark has played some of my music (from Signal Artifacts) and music by other Resting Bell artists on previous podcasts. The whole show is around three hours long and also features music from morsure souffle by d’incise, also from Test Tube
Ambient album release on Test Tube

This is a concept piece comprised of long and short ambient tracks from a half minute to around fourteen minutes – the whole album it 53 minutes long, still a soundscape but with perhaps the most melodic stuff I’ve released so far.

Eddie’s on Fire – new story on MicroHorror
My story Eddie’s on Fire has just been published on MicroHorror. There have been some positive comments on the story, including this from Joshua Scribner “I like this. The writing flows. It reads like a literary piece, and then, suddenly, horror. I was drawn into the romance aspect of it, and I was worried about the little girl when the kerosene was introduced. Nice ending. Good job.”

Tanner Menard – sommiel: a concert for sleep
Tanner Menard is curating an amazing event – a nine-hour long mix of ambient music to sleep to. The mix will include the Venus Vulture track We Heard Distant Rainfall. See more about the event in the press release at Tanner’s site. “Sleep concerts are all-night events in which the audience is asked to attend the concert with a sleeping bag and pillow and to fall asleep while a slowly unfolding sonic texture evolves over the course of the night and into the morning”. The concert takes place on the night of April 11th, in New Orleans
